Anita Lerche
Internationally renowned Danish-American Punjabi Singer Anita Lerche is inspired by the philosophy of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the 1st Guru of the Sikhs, who believed in Oneness of Humanity, Love, and Equality. MIL MERE PRITMA JIYO is a musical offering and tribute to the global Sikh community. The recording and music video was created with her teams from Punjab and the US.
The soothing music, a blend of traditional Indian and contemporary sounds, was created by the talented Music Producer Mohit Kashyap, and Satwinder Pal Singh on Sarangi. Filmmaker Dr. Harjit Singh captured the mesmerizing visuals of various Gurdwaras and the River Beas in Punjab, and Emmy-winning videographer Nate Heck filmed Anita’s visuals.
The lyrics of MIL MERE PRITMA JIYO describe that special longing to be united with the Divine. Anita ultimately aims to create more awareness about Sikh sacred music and Sikhism while spreading more love and unity across borders, cultures, and religions.
Anita won the ‘Best Music Video Award’ from the Clouzine International Music Awards, and she was honored by the Global Music Awards for ‘Outstanding Achievement as a Female Vocalist‘ for MIL MERE PRITMA JIYO.

Anita Lerche, a Billboard top-5 charting Danish-American Singer, is most celebrated for her award-winning work in Punjabi. She was the first non-Asian woman from the West to release an album in Punjabi. Her albums include “Heer from Denmark”, “Sadke Punjab Ton”, “Bhajans”, “Love Is My Religion”, and collaborations like “Aao Ji” and “Maahiya”. Lerche’s career as an international singer who travels the world entertaining massive crowds with her unique and electrifying performances has made her an Ambassador for Punjabi Music, Language, and Culture.
Lerche was honored to receive the ‘Special Contribution Award’ at the UK Bhangra Awards 2019 and is a 3-time Global Music Awards Winner for ‘Outstanding Achievement as Female Vocalist‘ with her latest release of the Shabad (Sacred Hymn) “Mil Mere Pritma Jiyo”. She was recently nominated for ‘World Artist of the Year’ by The Josie Music Awards.
Vocally trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London, Lerche has sung in a total of sixteen different languages. Her voice is highly versatile, and she masters music genres like Musical Theatre, Pop, Cabaret, Devotional, and Bhangra.
