I Love Piano (Album)

2005 | Smooth Fusion Records

This is Anita’s first solo album, recorded in Denmark and released under her own label Angel Music. The album consists of acoustic recordings of her favorite songs from the Pop and Musical Theatre genre. It is dedicated to the memory of her brother Brian, whom she tragically lost to a traffic accident in 2002. After singing ‘Pie Jesu’ (from Andrew Lloyd Webbers Requiem) at his funeral, Anita decided to make the album and place this song last, as a final goodbye. Her own composition ‘Why Did You Have To Go’ and other heart touching songs like Eric Clapton’s ‘Tears in Heaven’, Beverley Craven’s ‘Promise Me’, Carole King’s ‘You’ve got a friend’ and the Swedish folk song ‘Vem Kan Segla’ are also found on the album. Inspired by her father, who during her childhood always sang ‘House of the Rising Sun’, Anita recorded a special rendition of this song.

The album features some of Denmark’s best musicians like Carl Ulrik Munk-Andersen on Piano, Thomas Ovesen at Bass, Lillian Tornqvist on Harp and Kune Kjaerbye on Violin.
